Gordon Brown made a comment which he thought was in private to his advisors, after meeting a Mrs Duffy who quizzed him about Labour’s immigration policy. He referred to her as a “bigoted woman” and the media are buzzing about it to say the least. Cleary comments said in private are normally kept quiet, but there’s been times when I’ve forgotten to switch my mike off and said things I shouldn’t. So I understand how he feels. His private feelings are not necessarily the same as government policy anyway. The press are having a field day because up until now the hustings and campaigning has been pretty dull. Suddenly there’s a story which is not worth the coverage it’s getting quite frankly. Anyway he’ll be out of office on May 07th!!
